Car-X Tire & Auto

I recently had my oil changed at a local garage, and after leaving on the Fourth of July, my dad noticed an oil spot on the driveway. When I got home, I realized my car was leaking oil. Since it was the day after the holiday, I searched for a shop that was open and decided to stop by Car-X in Oshkosh. They inspected my car and found that the oil drain plug hadn’t been properly torqued and was loose. They tightened it up, took the time to explain everything, and were incredibly honest and helpful. I’m so grateful they were able to take care of it so quickly. If you’re looking for trustworthy, genuine people who care about their customers, I definitely recommend Car-X in Oshkosh!

My girlfriend took our car here 1 day ago because of an awful smell like burning rubber coming from our front drivers side wheel well. They dismissed us claiming that it was some plastic rubbing against the wheel and offered to clip it off for a cash tip. The very next day we were driving on the freeway and the smell returned, now we have to make an emergency appointment before a camping trip this weekend. They do not do their due diligence to diagnose a problem, and they do not seem to respect or trust women when they try to explain their cars issues. We will never go back.

The guys that work here are great. I've been taking my car here for years and get frequent oil changes since I'm a delivery driver. The coupons they send are very helpful and make it actually affordable! That being said, recently when I've called for appointments and sometimes needing to change appointment times I get a call center instead of the actual store and it is not a good experience. Besides barely being able to understand them they can't answer any questions for me. I also just found out they haven't even let the store know that I needed to cancel and so I would've been marked a no show, that makes me upset. I also asked for an appointment at a certain time and date and the call center rep told me they were full and didn't have anything available. I came to the store anyways and found out they had multiple openings available. I almost went somewhere else. I do like the shop and the employees but I'm only giving 3 stars because having to talk to a call center instead of the actual shop like I used to is disappointing and rather frustrating.

Mike and his crew gave me a very straight up and honest service with my car. When some places might have repaired my grinding wheel with selling me new brakes and rotors, he honestly told me it was a dangling shield, fixed it, and sent me on my happy way! His honesty will reap more rewards with my returning business. Thank you Mike.

Car-X in Oshkosh did a great job fixing our van, and they were so good to work with. We live about 45 minutes from Oshkosh and got the call it was ready for pick up. I wasn't sure we could get there on time before they closed. Assistant Manager Sawyer said he would stay open until we got there. And he did. Thanks Sawyer!
